We’re back with our monthly text about how to find a good reason to send text messages to clients. Let’s look at what interesting days we have in February.

1st February

International Dessert Day is an unofficial holiday that has the potential to bring all dessert lovers together.

International Dessert Day can be celebrated in different ways. It depends on personal preferences, free time and your imagination. It could be a pretext for a festival, a flash mob, an exhibition or a competition where participants present their own dessert to the guests and try the pudding based creations of others.

You could take this opportunity for self promotion and and let your café become a venue for such a contest. Don’t forget to send text messages with invitations to your clients.

“Let’s start February with a fascinating event – a pudding making competition dedicated to International Dessert Day. You’re invited to join us on February 1, at 3 p.m. at our café. See our website for details [link]”

2nd February

Groundhog Day is a traditional festival in Canada and the USA, celebrated annually. It is believed that if you watch a groundhog crawling out of its hole on this day, then by its behaviour, you can predict when spring will come. Despite the fact that the holiday is popular only in the USA and Canada, you can also use this occasion for SMS mail-outs. You can arrange your own groundhog day at your place. You don’t need a real groundhog to predict the onset of spring. Dogs, cats, hamsters, etc. can be used. The main thing is to create the mood. Invite clients to the event. Let them try to guess how the “groundhog” will behave. If they guess right, you can give them a discount or bonuses on your goods or services.

“Let’s find out together when spring will come! Come to our store for Groundhog Day on February, 2. Try to guess what the ‘groundhog’ will predict, and get gifts”

11th February

On this day annually, UN International Women and Girls in Science Day has been celebrated since 2016.

The first celebration of the Day was marked by a forum at UN headquarters. The annual celebration is designed to draw attention to the problem of women’s participation in the field of science, and to especially note the achievements in science, technology and innovation made by women and girls.

You can devote this day to the lectures of famous women scientists, arrange scientific workshops for girls interested in science, and much more.

“On February, 11, on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, come to our planetarium. All day we’re putting on lectures by famous women astrophysicists, science exhibitions, etc. More details on our website [link]”

12th February

World Radio Day is another new holiday, first celebrated in 2012.

The holiday does not only pay tribute to the radio as a means of communication, but also seeks to strengthen cooperation between all those involved in the radio, in an attempt to help both the international media and local radio stations to increase access to information and promote freedom of expression and gender equality on the radio waves. Indeed, in the age of digital technology, radio continues to be a major means of communication and communication with possibly the largest audience in the world.

Despite the worthy tone of the holiday, there’s no reason why you can’t celebrate it with good cheer. Make an SMS mail-out with information about the party that you are to organise at your bar for this occasion.

“On February, 12, our bar will host the coolest party of the year dedicated to World Radio Day. The best radio stations, the best music and the funkiest atmosphere await you. If you are involved with the radio, then you will receive a free drink from us”

Of course, in February there are many more interesting events. We have just picked out a few of them. You can also find your own reasons to send text messages to your clients. We’ll be back with more in March.
